I went to Paris with three amazing friends for the first time last week and I loved every second of it. I found it an incredibly inspiring place (the architecture, the carousels, the pastries!) and was constantly sketching during my brief three day visit. Naturally I couldn’t wait to get drawing when I got back and made Paris my fourth summer project.
In the last month I moved out of my (rather nicely decorated) room in halls of residence.
And into my grandparent's baker street flat for the summer
.
My summer project set by my second year tutor was to create six bits of work from six different times over the summer. These then needed to be posted to our second year tutor, with the packaging an important part of the project. My first project was to record things about my last weeks at halls. Little things like how I decorated my room, the pens on my desk, the people and met and the old photos my boyfriend gave me. Here are a fews bits of that work.
Anyone who knows me knows that I very, very much like coffee. It's a family affliction, my parents just bought their own coffee grinder because it's cheaper to grind your own beans and I routinely drink half a litre of filter coffee in the morning. Anyway, my love and appreciation for coffee has blossomed as I have realised the versatilities of coffee as a medium.
Some photos from my recent travels.
Norfolk:
I was staying with my cousins in Norfolk and they have a gorgeous house, so I couldn't resist taking a few photos.
My cousin and I got all domestic made pretzels and picked berries.
We also had lunch at ridiculously charming cafe and went antique, vinatge and charity shop shopping
I love the way my cousin has stuck things all of over walls.
Hopefully my cousins won't mind me post this photo of us. (If you do mind just let me know.)I've just got back from my holiday in Ireland and these are my favourite photos (of the 86 I took). I don't want to you all getting any silly romantic ideas about Ireland though. Yes, it looks lovely when the sun is shining but that only happens once a month and it's all so green because it pretty much never stops raining. Also a salad in Ireland contains large amounts of both grapes and mayonnaise is thusly gross. I just thought you should know that.*
This was my brother's first time going to the Giant's Causeway and it just blew him away.
This was tken at my uncles' dairy farm. They had a shed full of calves with kittens living the hay, two indoor dogs and two out door ones, a rabbit (now deceased) and two sheep that magnage to get into house and then hilariously defouled the porch.
I love how giant they both look.
Count Antrim (northen Northen Ireland) is stunning.
The beautiful beach at Ballycastle.
In the right the light the sea actually looked purple! It was amazing.
This picture is so 'us', beacuse we all switched places at the last second.
*(I'm half Irish so I can diss the salads)
