So, after the sucess of my russian doll collage I decided to make some more. First I made little stuffed ones with patterned fabric and hand painted faces.
Then I made some more collaged one which I backed with thick watercolour paper, laminated or vanished and turned into miniture art jewerly.I made most of them with sweet wrappers just because I love the bright colours and patterns. Most of these will be in the shop once it's re-stocked.
I have taken up embroidering on the bus partly because it's something to do, but also because I like to think it makes me a bit of a character. I started out on scraps of fabric , and now I started adding embroidered details to my rabbits.
My dog is in some the the photos because I couldn't get rid of him. I found adding the details made them more individual so I could no longer call them Finbar Jr.
I bought a Lomolito in NY and I've got got the prints back. These are my favourite ten. I took all of them apart from 'My field of yellow' which was taken by my youngest brother.
Which, as it turns out isn't pronouced like it's made of dead blind insectivorous mammals.
For some reason I want to make little monsters out of old clothes. Actually if any one is feeling very generous and/or bored and wants to send some old clothes my way that would be hugely appricated. Send me a message and we can work something out.
In other news I got a lovely mention on someone's blog. Thanks Kerry!
You may remember I'm doing the rainbow project thing on flickr. Here are my latest photos. Lots of pink and turquoise this time.
At the begining of the year I decided to set up a new Flickr account (I'm too cheap to pay for a pro account) along side my other one and take part in Project Rainbow. I read about Project Rainbow in PhotoJojo and thought it was a great idea; for the project you take 140 photos altogether, 20 of each colour in the rainbow and so far it's been a lot of fun.
