The fabulous children's magazine Anorak is holding a competotion to design the winter cover and this is what I came up with. Rather cool - my old tutor and mentor Simon Wild is a regular contributer.
I know I have been awful about updating, and it not because I've had a creative slump or gotten lazy (kind of the opposite), I just haven't had the internet for quite a while. I thought I'd start my resumed blogging with some good news. A few months ago Millie Boyd contacted me about one of my Christmas card designs and it was shown to Woodmansterne in a meeting. I didn't want to say anything in case I didn't get it, and for a long time I didn't hear anything and then last week I got the email saying they wanted to buy my design. My drawing will on Christmas cards sold in shops everywhere in 2010. :)

Over the Christmas holidays my tutors set us a project to draw one hundred interpretations of snow. Well, I made it to 87, which is better that a lot people in the class. Obviously I can't post them all, but here are my favourites.
At the moment we've been having quite a lot of snow here in London. I live in a country park so it's been just glorious.
In other news I am going to Vienna for 5 days on Monday weather permitting. Expect lots of photos and sketchbookness when I return and wish me look for an undelayed flight!

Lots of my artwork now on nice things like postcards and greetings cards.
:)
I have haven't been posting much lately, as I've been busy this past week. Busy with what you ask? Busy designing Christmas cards for Moo. That's right, Moo have asked me to be and one of their designers. Contracts have been signed and everything. I am incredibly honoured. Some of their other designers are amazing (I particularly like Daphne Louter, Andrea Joseph and our own Marc Johns). Here's a sneak peak at some of the Christmas card designs I'm working on.
What's the best gift you received this year?
This photo turned out completely out out focus, but I'll pretend that's intentional and artistic. The necklace was a gift from my mum, the bag is from my aunt and the coat I bought yesterday in the sales with the money I got for Christmas from my grandparents.
Here's a close up of the necklace.
