Fig and Leaves
I don't have lot of time to paint for myself at the moment, so to keep this blog updated regularly I'll be posting some of my college work. This is a piece I did for my painting class. I've been researching Mary Fedden and this is the first of three paintings in a series.
It's actually square shaped but it didn't all fit in my scanner.

You know what you need to start doing, just for me? Start posting, like, scribbles or something. It's awfully hard to come up with new ways to say, "you're amazing and everything you draw is super adorable and awesome." It would be such a relief to post something like, "well, nice try!"
Do you think you could do that for me? ;-)
(Also, have you ever noticed how many complimentary terms start with "a"?)
Another figgy moment:
August Figs
Each day
I look for signs
Of ripening.
With all of this time,
One would think a few
Green fruits
Would
Soften & begin
To burst.
The mysterious
Rosy blossom hidden
Within;
The fig which ripens
Backwards,
Like us.

Well, I could try... ;)
Awesome, amazing, adorable, astounding, articulate, arty... (yeah, I was struggling at the end)
