I do hope not. Today I was playing around with yet another new way of drawing people and painting on different materials. These are both painted on used envelopes and include bits of old home work.

oh those are cute! i like it a lot. i tend to draw people similar to myself or what i'd like to look like a lot of times, haha, so i think it's okay. :)
Lovely self portraits. To answer your question, I don't think doing self portraits makes you egotistical at all. A person is egotistical by nature, not because they can draw themselves.
